Our Story
Founded in 2014, Lennections was born from a simple but powerful realization: many educational software companies were disconnected from the real needs of educators. With a firm belief that effective solutions must be built with a deep understanding of the classroom, co-founders Jeffery Casteel and Gary Herron set out to reimagine what educational technology could—and should—be.

Jeffery Casteel, a former classroom teacher and district curriculum coordinator, dedicated his career to education. After working with some of the largest assessment companies in the country, he recognized a critical gap between assessment design and classroom reality. Partnering with Gary Herron, a technology leader from the banking industry with a passion for innovation in education, the two launched Lennections with a shared vision: to create technology-driven solutions grounded in instructional best practices and educator expertise.

At the heart of Lennections is our Content Team, comprised of outstanding educators who are experts in their subject areas. Our team brings a deep understanding of standards alignment, Depth of Knowledge (DOK), and assessment design best practices. Every piece of content is intentionally developed to be Georgia-specific, using official guidance, test specifications, and published resources from the Georgia Department of Education. This ensures that our assessments and instructional tools accurately reflect state expectations and classroom realities.

Since its founding, Lennections has grown into a trusted partner for districts and schools across Georgia and beyond. While Georgia remains at the core of our work, we are excited to support educators and students in districts across the country as we continue to expand.
