About the Role

Our Academic Content team is in search of a panel of subject-matter experts to conduct reviews of pre-existing ELA items. These experts will be responsible for verifying the alignment of items with the relevant ELA standards, confirming their compatibility with the designated depth of knowledge (DOK), ensuring compliance with universal design specifications, and validating the accuracy of the content. This position is a temporary contract position that could potentially lead to a permanent position over time.


  • Knowledge of The Formative Assessment Cycle

  • Knowledge of Common Core State Standards

  • Understanding of Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK)

  • Understanding of Universal Design best practices

  • Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues and clients

  • Critical thinking skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines

Minimum Requirements

  • BS, MS, or higher degree in K12 ELA education or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience as a classroom teacher within a K12 environment or related experience

  • Previous experience with assessment design preferred
